In 2014 Randy & I entered a new stage in our business life. We both were approaching our 70's in 2015 so had to take a reality check. Currently 71 and still in an active semi-retirement.
We no longer have permanent employees. Our trusted and one of a kind manager had retired and we were unable to replace her great personality and reliability. We attempted to sell the shop but our high valuation turned out to be a deterrent for prospective purchasers.

We decided to downsize the business to allow us more freedom in our semi-retirement. For at least 25 years we had been planning and saving for celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary. This was a 2 month long Grand Tour to mark this milestone. To accomplish this we had to change our business direction.

Our current business carries a reduced retail inventory.

We are no longer a Babylock dealer as of 2016. That explains why that information has been removed from our website. We still attend some trade shows to keep current on new trends for the industry.

Pam is still teaching and is a Certified "Quilting with Marci Baker" instructor. We make custom kits and offer long arm quilting services. We carry machine embroidery and long arm quilting supplies. We still carry a leaner fabric selection in our smaller space. We have moved to 1/3 of our previous size. Tight but it works for us. We are located at the same address but at the rear of the building. We meet our customers by appointment. We also will be selling products online and are in the process of getting our inventory categorized and posted for sale.

One of Pam's goals is to donate 1000 quilts to various charities. A new page on our website will provide details for those desiring to join in.

We look forward to providing quality products for our customers in our new environment.

Our phone number is 403-562-2699 and messages can be left 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We have had a great experience and we have met many wonderful people through the store. We have had some pleasant surprises, running into people that we worked with years ago and acquaintances we haven’t seen in many years. We often feel that this venture has been the very best way to “retire”. After living and pursuing our careers in Calgary, moving to a small community and opening and operating this shop is very rewarding. It truly is a dream come true. Every day is a beautiful day in the Crowsnest Pass.
